In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Muhammad Ali’s gold metal win in the 1960 Olympics, the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at St. Joseph’s is announcing a partnership with Mountain Side Fitness to provide high intensity fitness classes for patients suffering from the same disease as “The Greatest” himself. Considered to be the first of its kind, the classes will begin in January 2011 and will take fitness to a higher level for people with Parkinson’s focusing on cardiovascular improvement and, Core strength training. Classes will be taught at valley locations by Mountainside Fitness’ top instructors who will be specially trained in Parkinson’s.\r\n\r\n”We are thrilled to be chosen by Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital as its exclusive partner in this new endeavor.
